Product Overview
The SMS1770 Series from SHENZHEN LANTU MICRO ELECTRIC TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. offers ultra-high current, thin-profile SMD power inductors. These magnetically shielded inductors are designed for high-density installations, providing strong anti-electromagnetic interference capabilities. Featuring an integral construction for high reliability and vibration resistance, they also boast ultra-low buzz noise and low loss due to composite construction and die-casting with low-loss alloy powder. This results in low impedance, small parasitic capacitance, high efficiency, and reduced winding DC resistance and core eddy-current loss. They are suitable for frequencies up to 3MHz and have an absolute maximum voltage of 30VDC. The series complies with RoHS, Halogen Free, and REACH standards.

Note on Current Ratings:
- Saturation Current: DC current at which inductance drops 30% from its value without current.
- Heat Rating Current: the actual value of DC current when the temperature rise is T 40 (Ta=25).
- Rated DC Current: The lesser value of Isat or Irms.
- Part temperature should be verified in the end application, as it is affected by circuit design, component, PCB trace size and thickness, airflow, and other cooling provisions.

The SMS1770 series has undergone various reliability tests including Terminal Strength, Resistance to Flexure, Dropping, Solderability, Vibration, Thermal Shock, Low and High Temperature Storage, Damp Heat, Heat endurance of Reflow soldering, Resistance to solvent test, Overload test, and Voltage resistance test. Users should adjust and confirm reflow conditions based on their specific environment and equipment. The recommended conditions are provided as a guideline.
Reminders for Using These Products
- Storage period is within 12 months under conditions (5~40C, 35~65% RH).
- Avoid use and storage in gas corrosive environments.
- Do not touch electrodes directly with bare hands.
- Handle products carefully to prevent damage.
- Do not bend terminals excessively.
- Do not rinse coils; contact the manufacturer if cleaning is necessary.
- Do not expose products to magnets or magnetic fields.
- Preheat components before soldering (temperature difference < 150C).
- Soldering corrections after mounting should be within specified conditions to avoid performance degradation.
- Ensure sufficient thermal design margin for self-heating.
- For non-magnetic shield types, consider coil layout to prevent malfunctions due to magnetic interference.
